Rose geranium essential oil is steam distilled from the flowers and leaves of the rose geranium plant, with most of the oil coming from the leaves. It is, in fact, a variety of geranium, however, rose geranium oil has a richer, sweeter, more floral aroma than geranium oil. Historically, rose geranium essential oil was used by the Egyptians to promote beautiful, radiant skin. Today it is still used in skin lotions to promote healthy skin. Used in diffuser blends it uplifts the mood, reduces fatigue and promotes emotional wellbeing.

Rose Geranium Oil Uses

Rose geranium oil can be added to skincare products. It works to cleanse and refine the pores of the skin. It can also be added to shampoo for it's volumizing and softening effects on the hair. You can also add it to diffuser blends to promote peace and calm.

Floral blend: 1 drop lavender, 1 drop rose geranium oil, 1 drop ylang ylang, 1 drop clary sage
Calming Blend: 2 drops lavender, 2 drops frankincense, 2 drops geranium oil
Uplifting Blend: 2 drops geranium oil, 2 drops mandarin, 2 drops peppermint.
