Rosemary is a well-known and much-loved member of the mint family. It has been used for centuries for culinary, medicinal and decorative purposes. It grows as a bushy evergreen shrub in Mediterranean climates and has narrow, leathery deep green leaves with a silvery grey underside. It is these leaves, rich in volatile oils from which rosemary essential oil is distilled.

Rosemary Essential oil Uses

Rosemary oil has an invigorating, refreshing aroma. When it is diffused in a diffuser it works to improves focus and alertness. It can also be added to massage oils. A few drops can be added to bathwater for a refreshing bath. Rosemary essential oil is also useful in skin and hair care products for improving oily skin and hair. It is strongly astringent. It should not be used during pregnancy or if you suffer from epilepsy.

Refreshing Blend: 2 drops lime, 2 drops peppermint, 2 drops rosemary oil.
