Colour, Consistency and Aroma: Tangerine oil is fresh, tangy and sweet. It is very similar to mandarin oil, but is lighter and not as rich or sweet.

Blends with: Bergamot, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Frankincense, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Neroli, Orange.

Tangerines are smaller than oranges, slightly sweeter and more thin skinned like a mandarin. Tangerine oil is pressed from the peel of the fruit and with its sweet but uplifting and calming properties, it has many uses. It should be used with caution in skincare products as it is photo toxic like other citrus oils. It can however be used freely like other citrus oils in home cleaning applications. Add a few drops of tangerine essential oil to your mopping water for a fresh scent throughout the home. Add a drops to a cleaning cloth to help remove soap scum from bathroom surfaces. Tangerine oil can also be used in the kitchen. Add a few drops to a damp cloth to wipe over and cleanse benches. Last but not least tangerine oil is a refreshing addition to diffuser blends.

Tangerine Oil Diffuser Blends;

Air Freshener Blend: 2 drops eucalyptus, 2 drops tangerine oil, 2 drops bergamot

Citrus Blend: 1 drop lime, 1 drop tangerine oil, 1 drop grapefruit oil, 1 drop orange oil, 1 drop mandarin oil.

Floral Blend; 2 drop lavender oil, 2 drops ylang ylang oil, 2 drops tangerine oil.
