Cinnamon Bark Pure Essential Oil

Cinnamon Bark essential oil has many uses such as air freshener, anti-fungal and antiseptic and is used largely in aromatherapy for is warm, sweet, spicy aroma. It can also be used topically to nourish the skin and enhance circulation however pure cinnamon oil  is a very potent oil and should never be used undiluted on the skin or taken orally.  If you wish to use it on the skin, place a few drops in a carrier oil before applying to the skin. Cinnamon bark oil contains cinnamaldehyde which can act as an antimicrobial agent against fungi and bacteria.
Cinnamon oil should also be used with caution in diffuser blends as it may irritate nasal passages in some people.  However, if you are tolerate it well and want to make cinnamon diffuser blends you may like to try blending it with any of these oils:
Clove, Ginger, Geranium, Bergamot, Frankincense, Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon and Ylang Ylang.
